I’ve written a lot about sex being holy and sacred, but is it ever unholy? Most definitely. Anytime it’s coerced, manipulated, or forced. Anytime it’s used as power over another, either by men or women. When God’s gift is squandered in a one night stand. Anytime it’s bought and paid for, not given freely out of love. And most horrifically, every time it involves a child.
On that note, my friend Emily has a blog everyone needs to see. It will raise your awareness of the sex trafficking trade and its horrors, yet give you hope of saving lives. In the video posts you will see some of the children rescued, hear from some of the people involved in saving them, and find creative options for funding this cause. It’s so important. I hope you will take time to read it. Here is the website:

The distortions of God’s gift of sexuality impact us like nothing else. What wounds do you carry that make it difficult to see sexuality as holy?
